Sulle liberalizzazioni in tutta la struttura dell'economia italiana, si scopre così che l'Eurotower suggerisce a Berlusconi di procedere per decreto, in modo da accelerare. Si tratta di un punto sensibile, perché molti a Francoforte trovano che proprio sull'apertura del mercato l'impegno del premier e del ministro dell'Economia Giulio Tremonti resti debole, generico e imperniato su tempi troppo lunghi. Altrettanta urgenza emerge nella lettera di Draghi e Trichet sul tema delle privatizzazioni: si parla di cessioni anche per le società pubbliche locali e si chiede di avanzare il più rapidamente possibile. Con ogni probabilità non è furia ideologica, quella di Draghi e Trichet: è una constatazione di opportunità.

Un anno e mezzo fa la Grecia, già sotto attacco, evitò di mettere mano alle cessioni delle partecipazioni dello Stato per non affrontare l'opposizione dei sindacati e delle clientele politiche. Ma stavolta Trichet ci entra e lo fa nei dettagli: meno rigidità nelle norme sui licenziamenti dei contratti a tempo indeterminato, interventi sul pubblico impiego, superamento del modello attuale imperniato sull'estrema flessibilità dei giovani e precari e sulla totale protezione degli altri, una contrattazione aziendale che incentivi la produttività.

there is no place for "numerical limits" and rackets costs on licenses
all this folks milking the taxpayer cow
need to go get a real job
there is room for labor offices offering retraining and assistance
there is room for professional and commerce "associations" providing "optional" services
there is room for automation of public services and telecommuting
with reduction of fuel consumptions and useless real estate, with related maintenance
