Tra i vari incontri anche alcuni dal presidente Renato Schifani, prima con i soli capigruppo, Maurizio Gasparri (Pdl) e Federico Bricolo (Lega) e i sottosegretari, e poi anche con il ministro Giulio Tremonti. Poi una raccolta di firme tra i potentissimi parlamentari-avvocati del Pdl (in tutto 44 tra Camera e Senato) ha fatto comprendere che la faccenda era seria. Se passava l’emendamento che liberalizzava le professioni loro, la manovra, non la votavano. È seguita una lettera aperta di 22 senatori del Pdl, anche se c’è chi, come il torinese Agostino Ghiglia si è dissociato. Poi Gasparri ha sancito che il tema «non è all’ordine del giorno».
