The Tea Party and the Christian Mafia

The fact is that the whole Tea Party scheme is not just a re-branding of the Christian Right, it is a scheme hatched by a very powerful and secretive Christian group called, “The Family.” The Family is led by a Douglas Coe and they are an extreme Christian group made up of politicians and business leaders. The group often refers to themselves as the “Christian Mafia.”

One of their main beliefs is that God puts people into power and so if one is in power, it is often because God wills it. They also believe that if one of their members is in power, anything they do is morally permissible. In other words, members of The Family believe that they have power because they deserve to have power.
