Slowing the Kindle Revolution
German Publishers Putting Kibosh on E-Books

By Joachim Kronsbein

E-books have revolutionized both publishing and reading the world over. But in Germany, publishers would rather not go digital. Is it, as they claim, an effort to protect writers and bookstores, or is it a deeply ingrained fear of technology?

... e-books are an important step ...
... but using American DRM technology is risky ...
... because it gives the US god freaks a way to "revoke" your libraries ...
... the same problem using some US hardware such as PC's with TPA ...
... Europe needs its own "not for export" hardware ...
... with it's own TPA to "revoke" the others ...
... instead than being the ones revoked by the US god freaks ...
